Cookies Tanglewood

At lunch the other day I asked the folks at my table whether they wanted oatmeal cookies or peanut butter cookies for dessert.  They wanted both in the same cookie.  That sounds yummy.  Did they want raisins or chocolate chips?  Both!  That didn't really sound good to me but whatever.  I'll make it.  Everyone loved these cookies and since I invented them I named them and here we have Cookies Tanglewood.

1 cup softened butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
.75 cup sugar
splash molasses
splash vanilla
1 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
1.5 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup oats
.75 cup chocolate chips
.75 cup raisins

Cream together the first six ingredients.  Beat the eggs in one at a time.  Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt together and then add them to the wet stuff.  Mix well.  Add the oats and mix just until combined.  Add the chocolate chips and raisins and mix again just until combined.  Spread onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for about fifteen minutes.  The ovens here are wacky and it's hard to tell you how long it will take.  Keep an eye on them.  Let cool.  Cut into bars.  Get out of the way!
