My baby brother, Ed, is on the news! See him here: http://http://www.abc2news.com/mediacenter/local.aspx?videoId=5361@wmar.dayport.com and here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=oc9I3Gn4xJ0 . He's not the naked dude. He's chasing the naked dude. Yeah, he ain't gonna live THAT down! Actually, he's the one who got the license plate number and who saw the other guy stealing beer. Apparently nobody else noticed that in all the excitement. I think Ed was put-out because it wasn't at least good beer.

Oh, NOOOOOO!
I just saw an ad online for a furniture company offering no down payment and no interests until 2011. Julianne graduates in 2011! It really is just around the corner, isn't it?!!!
JT
is graduating from boot camp right this minute. My mom is there for it. She called from her cell so I can listen to the ceremony. Right now the Marine Band is playing. I'm such a sap! I'm tearing up! I can't wait to see pictures. Better yet, I can't wait to see JT! I'm so proud of our little tow-head boy! He will be home for, I think, 19 days and then go somewhere else for more training. I was worried that my mom wouldn't make it to the ceremony. She was in the ICU overnight on Tuesday. Scared the heck out of all of us! Again! Apparently it was angina pains and not a heart attack. Thank God! I'm so glad she was able to travel! She checked out of the hospital and got her heiniebumper to the airport. She & my sister are staying together in San Diego. Both of JT's parents, one of his brothers, and his other grandparents are out there. I'm so glad they all got to go. I wish I could have! I haven't been further west than Kansas or Oklahoma. Some day......
Julianne's New 'Do
She got some hair chopped off and some of the gold highlights toned down. There is nothing more beautiful anywhere on the planet! (and I'm completely objective) She is LOVING high school, by the way!

First day of HIGH SCHOOL!
How the heck did this happen? Wasn't it just, like, the year before last that I sat in the car and cried after taking her to kindergarten? No, Chico didn't go with her. She wishes he could! We forgot lunch money but at least I got pictures! I can't wait until she gets home and tells me all about it! There is life on other planets, by the way. We're picking up communications from them with Chico's ears.

I'm such a sucker!
I have been fascinated with babies since I was one. I love babies of any species (except bugs and reptiles). I think that in Heaven there will be a special rocking chair for me and an endless supply of sleeping babies to hold. When Julianne & I go to the zoo we always look for the new babies first. We have stood & watched a baby giraffe or gorilla for such long stretches! All three of my sibs have new litters of puppies (plus Eddie's kittens) and I'm soooo jealous! My sister's chihuahuas had a litter in February and one of them was promised to Julianne when they were born and then given to her for her birthday. She is bringing him, Chico, home to us tonight. Kim & my mom, then, are going to San Diego to see JT graduate from boot camp. Somehow I volunteered to babysit the mama and newest litter of puppies. They will be two weeks old on Monday. I tried to insist that traveling was too stressful for them without talking my way out of it! I guess we'll have them for about a week. They're going to be so rotten! For that time I won't be doing anything at home that I can't do with just one hand! Dishes be damned! Kim just left North Carolina for our house but on her way out the door (after the puppies were loaded in the car) she called to ask if it was okay to bring the babies' daddy (who has been fixed now) since he's "depressed and not getting enough attention". What's one more, huh? Only I'm hearing on the grapevine that the other of Chico's littermates that hasn't been given away is also loaded up in her car! That's eight chihuahuas plus Abby! My head is already spinning! Poor Abby will never know what hit her.
Blue & White Night
Last night was Blue & White Night. It was really a glorified practice for the cheerleaders & football team for the parents to watch. It was fun. I visited with a couple of other cheer moms. I signed up for Booster Club. And, of course, I took pictures! My camera is having issues and it's very hard to take a picture with it and they don't always "stick to" the memory card when I manage to take one, but I got a couple.

I'm in a fall mood.
I love Autumn. I love the word Autumn and I usually say that instead of fall. It's my favorite season. I love the colors and the smells and I love the weather. I love to wear sweaters and I don't mind coats but I hate to be miserably cold. I get fall fever much worse than spring fever! I always look forward to spring for gardening, baseball, and an end to winter but I never look forward to anything as much as Autumn. I had to run in Wal-Mart on my way to work this morning. They're starting to put fall things out. I had to stop and smell the candles. A spiced cider one just jumped into my cart! It's burning here by me. It's nice!

Just because
I'm bored to tears and can't leave work for another hour & a half and I really don't have anything to do (finished my book and my hand is cramped from playing Paint Buckets on MyPoints Games) or to write about and because I have it here at work, I'm going to post a pretty picture. I'm not proud, though, so don't even think it!
